About
Baby Talk is a FREE prenatal education program that complements ones prenatal care who are under 32 weeks pregnant. Classes include 6 two-hour sessions with topics covering how to have a healthy pregnancy, labor and delivery, feeding and infant health, and postpartum health.
In class, participants will experience presentations with hands-on activities, demonstrations, and videos. We gladly welcome pregnant persons and their support person(s) to class, the more the merrier! We offer English in-person and virtual classes as well as virtual Spanish classes.
Participants that attend all 6 sessions will receive a FREE infant safety item such as a portable crib, infant car seat, or a breastfeeding pillow kit.

BabyTalk has served nearly 3,000 expecting parents in 49 Kansas counties, and participants have "had a 36% lower risk of preterm birth than the general population," says Cari Schmidt, Ph.D., director of pediatrics research and the Center for Research for Infant Birth & Survival at KU School of Medicine-Wichita.
