SUMMARY:Coffee & Conversation Breakfast | "Remembering your “why” amidst adversity"
DESCRIPTION:WIBA Coffee & Conversation BreakfastStart Your Morning with Connection\, Conversation\, and CommunityWIBA's Coffee & Conversation Breakfast brings together business owners\, professionals\, and community leaders for a morning of networking\, coffee\, breakfast\, and conversation. This core event is a space for members and guests to connect with one another\, build relationships\, and stay engaged with Wichita's business community in a more casual\, conversational setting.Featured SpeakerMike Redondo\nMajor Gifts Director | Scouting America\, Quivira Council WIBA member Mike Redondo serves as Major Gifts Director for Scouting America Quivira Council\, the region's premier youth development organization. Based in Wichita\, he leads fundraising efforts across 49 counties\, cultivating transformational philanthropy that expands Scouting's impact for families throughout Southern Kansas. Under his leadership\, Quivira Council has emerged as one of the most respected councils among Scouting America's 240 councils nationwide.Originally from Southern California\, Mike discovered Kansas while attending Sterling College and quickly made it home. After five years as a traveling stage manager with theater and opera companies across the Midwest\, he and his wife\, Heather\, settled permanently in Wichita in 2018. They welcomed their son\, Declan\, into their family in 2022.In recent years\, Mike's life - both personally and professionally - has been shaped by profound change: a career transition\, a global pandemic\, national organizational upheaval\, and more recently\, Heather's diagnosis with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). These experiences have reinforced one defining principle that anchors his leadership and outlook: remembering your "why" amidst adversity. When plans unravel and uncertainty takes hold\, Mike believes success is less about panic and pivoting and more about staying rooted\, reflecting on the journey\, and leaning on the people who walk it with you. What to ExpectListen to real experiences\, lessons\, and leadership perspectives from local professionalsCoffee\, breakfast\, and networkingConnection with fellow WIBA members and guestsConversation focused on business\, leadership\, and communityOpportunities to meet new people and strengthen existing relationshipsEvent DetailsDate: May 28thTime: 7:30 AM 9:00 AMLocation: Ninth Floor Club + Venue\n100 N Broadway St. Ste 900\, Wichita\, KS\, 67202Registration & PricingMembers: $20Non-Members: $25Advance registration encouragedGuests may attend up to two core WIBA events at no cost.Who Should AttendBusiness ownersExecutives and managersEntrepreneursCorporate professionalsNonprofit leadersCommunity partnersWhy AttendCoffee & Conversation is a great way to start your morning while staying connected to the Wichita business community.
